Photo 2 Dec When the facility was built, it was all too obvious that the funding could not have come from the scientific community alone. When the spot was selected to begin construction, the chosen site was the only place in the world found to grow the strange luminescent purple coral. Since its discovery, small outcroppings of this species have been discovered elsewhere. Very few of the growing areas appear natural, and the main facility continues to uphold its hushed nature about the genetics of the species. Many people considered their worst fears confirmed when it was discovered that the main funding for the station had in fact been provided by Rajada inc, but the Barracuda team denies any form of weaponization of any discoveries there. They instead insist that Rajada inc is extremely well known for the funding of Nerf arenas, and that the main purposes of the facility are only observation of deep sea ecosystems and the experimentation conducted during the weekly Nerf matches held there. Roger Stevenson, lead researcher at the facilty commented that “The effects of decompression on foam ammunition has forwarded the cause of Nerf enthusiasts everywhere by at least two years.” Rajada himself was unable to comment at the time due to a fiasco related to his involvement with the Luna’s recently discovered spy satellite, but insisted that he would answer the questions posed by reporters later that day in a press conference located in his company’s human resources department. We have yet to hear back from any of them.
