Just finished this renovation of PM-Fun. The whole time I was making it, I knew it wasn’t visually up to par with some of my previous efforts, but after a while I came to the conclusion that the flow of this map really is what makes it worth playing.
The main idea behind this was to make a fun map where most of the movement is vertical, where ambushing players from above is possible. Most of your time will be spent running around the dangerous catwalks and taking cover behind treacherous obstacles. Falling is painful, but gravity is reduced slightly to lessen the effects. Falling (or being knocked off) into the water below is entirely survivable, but soon a scramble ensues to find a ramp back up to the populated, but ironically safer, main building before your opponent decides to come down there and finish you off as you vulnerably doggie-paddle towards cover.
But on the other hand with the visuals, the guy didn’t give me much to work with, I mean it used to look like this!
